He'd like to retire but the right back position at Everton is cursed, we've been unable to find someone capable of taking over from him so he keeps dragging himself in to try to help the club he loves. The disrespect some people give him is unreal.

When he retires from playing he has ambitions to be a manager not a coach so the shouts that he'll be given a "jobs for the boys" coaching job for life at Everton are a bit strange.
 

He's not going to get any better or have less injuries. Use his wages to take a punt on another young prospect, actually coach Patterson and at the end of the season then make a decision if you keep or sell NP.

He'll almost certainly have to coach before he gets a managerial post.
