    New Everton Stadium Discussion

I think we'd need to wait for safe standing to become a return to terracing by the looks of it. I'm thinking if a row seats 25, you might get 30 in the same space stood up. Perhaps?

Shouldn't be asking questions on here, mate. You'll get a telling off.

I've read this before. So if you're an Evertonian and your seat is in the North Strand, where are your turnstiles? Also, is it right that you can walk virtually right round the stadium concourse apart from the away fans section?

It's like when clubs tap up players. Like that never happens, does it?

Absolutely. Maybe I'm a naive, glass is half full person, but I'm more optimistic that we'll get good owners soon than I have been since Kenwright darkened the door of the boardroom. I might be in for a nasty shock, though. Time will tell.

That's a good point, but I suppose it will look more blue when dressed up. And don't forget the moody blue lights for a night game. They will look ace. Perhaps it is deliberate. The venue and fan zone will be used for a whole host of other events which will have nothing to do with EFC. Maybe...

True from lots of parts of Bootle, but not all of it. The plan is about public transport, though, and regards that BMD is far easier than GP. The 68 bus avoids County Road on a match day to miss the traffic. Crackers. As for other areas around there, it's a no-brainer. Bus and train to the new...

Think it is easier to get to the new place from Bootle and surrounding areas by public transport than it is to Goodison. I don't get it, to be honest. That said, it did mention carpark facilities at the Strand and a shuttle bus for people who park up there. That might be a good idea, to be fair.

Doesn't make much sense to me. The new stadium is far easier to get to from most areas in that neck of the woods than Goodison. Virtually every bus that goes through Bootle drops you off at the top of Boundary St at the start of Scotland Road. Crosby to Sandhills is 14 minutes by train. Seems...

Yeah, it's more like a shop. The new stadium is on a bit of a run down High Street just now. We will be located on a more upmarket shopping area in the not too distant.

Completely agree. FA Cup Final result 1984 Everton 1 (Gray) v Watford 0

To be fair to Stubbs, he's been far more vocal more critical of how the club has been run than some players. A certain Scottish centre forward comes to mind.

I suppose another point to make is the area where the house is located determines the value massively. Admittedly, we are a bit out on a limb from the city centre at the moment. I suspect in 20 years we won't be. We will be right at the heart of things. That can only be good for EFC and can only...

    New Stadium New Tune

They were from "over the bridge". It might have even been specific to the hinterland right next to the docks. All I do know is that they all used it, as did friends of the family of the same vintage who grew up in the same area but were eventually blown to the 4 winds in the 60's and 70's.
