I think it’s a PL tribunal not a regular court case. They’re arguing that punishing Everton in the following season didn’t make them whole. Tricky one because if you give compensation then that’s a 2nd punishment and should logically be deducted from the first punishment which is impossible.

Thing is, last season they ended up down there but were never really in trouble in terms of the drop zone but if they were to drop into the bottom 3 in the next few games it would get really toxic at Old Trafford, they’re not used to a battle and they have players who will not really be up for it.
