Everton manager David Moyes is hopeful that Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandes will be fit for the forthcoming fixture against mid table side Fulham.

Fernandes came back from international duty with a slight thigh strain and missed the stalemate draw at Villa Park which ended 1-1.

But Moyes is hoping that Fernandes will be fit and raring to go against Fulham.

Moyes said “Manuel came back from international duty with a slight thigh strain and we decided not to risk him against Aston Villa”

“We have games on Friday and Monday and we need him for that, so decided not to risk him on Monday “.

Fernandes who has impressed both players and fans, will be both hoping that he will play in both games to maintain Everton’s surge for European qualification.
