We’re delighted to announce the launch of a fresh top to bottom re-design of GrandOldTeam to coincide with what will hopefully be a grandstand finish to the 2010/11 season for the Toffees.
Over the years we’ve developed a reputation as a top quality, welcoming fan forum for all Blues fans, and the team behind the scenes have worked hard to ensure we now have a first grade website to match.
A New Front Page News Portal – We have designed a clean, user-friendly front page which immediately presents you with the latest Everton news and ‘fans view’ articles. An intelligently designed system allows fans to determine which category of news they’d like presenting to them on this portal with just a click through our news navigation menu.
Easy Navigation – Every area you wish to find within GOT is an easy to find click away, either via the dynamic dropdown menu across the top of the website, or the simple sitemap menu in the footer.
Speed – You should find GrandOldTeam pages load exceptionally quick. A top quality server, combined with an intelligently designed system with good old common sense applied in refusing to include any unnecessary, server load intensive nonsense ensures a speedy service!
Exclusive – We’ll be bringing you plenty of exclusive material. Starting with an interview with Tim Cahill, who’ll be answering your questions and talking about his new website TimCahill.com. What’s more, our sponsors PaddyPower have rallied behind our new website and will be continuing to offer GrandOldTeam visitors free £20 bets and running exclusive, often double the normal market enhanced odds! So fans will be able to enjoy more insane odds, like the 4/1 to beat Liverpool at home proving easy money! With plenty more exclusives in the pipeline, be sure to keep an eye on the site to ensure you don’t miss out!
Unique – We’ve built GrandOldTeam, rather than merely installing it, bucking the disappointing trend of ‘plug and play’ football wordpress systems swamping the internet, lacking any originality or effort. Effort is a necessity when you endeavour to Nil Satis Nisi Optimum and its taken us the best part of a year to provide a unique website, one which we think is befitting to the excellent Everton community we already have established, and one which we hope fans will be proud to be associated with. You won’t find a carbon copy of this website anywhere else. We’ve put the effort it in put up a good argument to deserve your visit!
Impartial – Too many unofficial websites seem to exist to solely, relentless push their own agenda. Disappointingly, a lot of unofficial websites spend their time demeaning, rather than supporting their Club. You’ll see none of that here. After all, “It’s A GrandOldTeam to support“. We’re fully aware that we exist to provide a service for fans, to provide a platform for Evertonians to be heard and to ensure the Everton community is accurately represented as the very best in the World.
Aware – As a new website, we’ve intentionally left it largely a blank canvas. Our reasoning is that rather than becoming bogged down in needless features, we’d instead gradually introduce what we think will work well dependent upon user feedback. We’re always looking to improve the fan experience on GrandOldTeam and realise there’s no better way to do so than listening to our users. We’ll be holding several fan consultations at Goodison Park over the next few months, of which details will be confirmed. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us with any ideas – no matter how big or small – that you feel would be a welcome addition on GOT.
Fan Forum – our award winning fan forum has established itself as THE place for Everton fans online to meet, share and debate with fellow supporters from around the world. With hundreds of fans online at any given moment, there’s always enthralling debate to be had!
Socially Sorted! – With 60,000 Facebook Fans and thousands of Twitter followers, GrandOldTeam is well integrated with popular social media websites Facebook and Twitter. Not only do we have thriving accounts on both, we also allow users to incorporate their own Facebook and Twitter accounts with their account on GrandOldTeam. Interested? read on…
We hope you enjoy the new GrandOldTeam, and as ever, thank you for your continued support.
