Everton 1-1 Birmingham

Birmingham denied Everton a third consecutive Premier League victory in a frustrating stalemate at Goodison Park

The tone for the evenings fixture was set on 7 minutes, when Mikel Arteta pulled up with a hamstring injury to add to David Moyes´ injury list already containing Marouane Fellaini, Tim Cahill and Phil Neville.

It got worse for Everton on 16 minutes, Jean Beausejour rose above Tony Hibbert to head past Tim Howard.

Everton drew level with a sublime strike from John Heitinga. Leon Osmans corner was half cleared by Cameron Jerome, only for Heitinga to place an effort brilliantly into the top corner to record his first goal for the Club.

From then on, it was same old, same old. Any match report will tell you Everton dominated possession as we have done time and time again this season, only to rarely carve out any meaningful opportunity to test the opposition keeper and to frequently concede "against the run of play"….

GOT Match Ratings: Howard (6), Hibbert (6), Jagielka (6), Distin (6), Baines (7), Heitinga (7), OSMAN (8), Arteta (N/A), Rodwell (7), Saha (6), Beckford (6).

Subs: Coleman (7), Bilyaletdinov (N/A), Anichebe (5).
