Everton´s plans to build a £9m hospitality and retail development have been delayed and the project will now not open until the summer of 2012.

Though the news of a delay comes as no real surprise to Evertonians given the complete lack of activity on the situated site following demolition of the of the Club Everton lounge at the Park End of the stadium, prompting frustration from fans towards the decision to needlessly remove a revenue stream in Club Everton hospitality for the best part of two seasons.
Everton´s spokesman, Ian Ross: "This has been the acknowledged target date for some time as operationally it would have been difficult to open it mid-season,"
