The future of Demba Ba remains unclear, as the West Ham man is reportedly still considering offers from both Newcastle and Everton.
The striker was expected to complete a move to Newcastle after a “take it or leave it” offer was made by Everton earlier in the week. However, Ba seems to have still not made a decision.
Sky Sports are reporting that Ba is returning from a holiday this week to resolve his professional future, with Everton looking to secure his signature to add much needed firepower up front after a disappointing campaign in front of goal from traditional Toffee goalscorers like Yakubu, Louis Saha and Tim Cahill.
However, Newcastle United are flush with cash following the big money transfer of Andy Carroll to Liverpool in the summer, and could potential muscle Everton out of the picture with a heftier wage offer.
