Stanley Park Prior QPR

Everton in the Community will be holding activities in Stanley Park on Saturday to celebrate the charity´s disability programme.

There will be games and demonstrations between 12.30 and 2.30pm and fans are encouraged to come down and get involved. There will also be face painting and plenty of activities to keep children entertained.

Everton begin their Premier League campaign against QPR (3pm) that afternoon and supporters will be able to see first hand the good work the Club´s official charity does in the hours before kick-off.

Everton in the Community´s disability programme has engaged with over 17,000 participants in total and 2,850 in the past year alone. There are currently 26 disability teams representing the Blues, which include a total of eight international players.

The programme offers competitive football opportunities for a range of different disabilities including deaf, blind and wheelchair teams.

In 2010 the programme achieved the FA Community Club Charter Standard Award, which recognises the commitment to player and coach development and raising standards of behaviour in the game.
