Bookie Preview: Norwich vs Everton

Paul Lambert’s Norwich side have impressed in their first season back in the Premier League since being relegated in 2005.

Sitting on 39 points with seven games to play, the Canaries are looking to good to comfortably secure their Premier League status.

However they have struggled of late, managing just one win in their last seven games in all competitions. Despite having a solid home record they’ve won just once in their last four games at Carrow Road. They appear to be fading a little after such a strong first half of the season.

Everton on the other hand are picking up momentum, with three straight 2-0 wins pushing them into the Europa League qualification race and an FA Cup semi-final with Liverpool. David Moyes even has a near full and healthy squad to pick from. A rare luxury for the Scot.

With two of the last three games being away from home, Everton are just as dangerous on their travels right now. A fourth straight 2-0 is a well rounded 10/1 with Paddy Power. Norwich will pose a threat going forward and they’ve failed to score just once in their last eight home games. Everton to win 2-1 at 8/1 may prove a more sensible choice.

Up front Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic has impressed since signing from Rangers in the January transfer window. After an injury hit start to his Everton career he has now bagged two in his last three games. Jelavic is 11/2 to score the first goal in this game and 7/4 to score anytime.
Norwich have conceded the first goal in seven of their last eight games, which will explain why Everton are the 10/11 favourites to score the first goal.

Despite being away from home, Paddy Power have Everton as the 6/4 favourites to take all three points in this game. If their current form continues they look good to clip the Canaries’ wings.
