Everton star Jack Rodwell has agreed a deal worth up to £20m to move to Premier League champions Manchester City.
The move, which has caught everyone by surprise, will see the home-grown midfielder join up with a Manchester City side looking to bolster the numbers of quality English players in the squad.
Rodwell has struggled with injury over the course of his career and has rarely seen a consistent run in the Everton first team, with many Evertonians not expecting him to oust either Marouane Fellaini or Darron Gibson in the Everton midfield this season.
Despite that, City have felt compelled to splash big cash on the Olympic poster boy (who missed the games through injury) in the hope he comes good.
