Caen´s 17-year-old wonderkid M´baye Niang is set to undergo an extended trial with Everton.
Tipped as the next big thing in French football, Niang is a strong, physical striker with a burst of pace and good ground skills. He has courted the interest of Spurs, Man City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal and AC Milan to name just a few.
Whilst a move to Everton may sound dubious when announced in such company, it is believed that Everton have stolen a march on their rivals by directly inviting the youngster to Finch Farm for several days with an intention to secure a £5m deal.
Niang has already netted at U21 level for France.
