Toffees Bring In The Hammer

German international Thomas Hitzlsperger has signed for Everton on a short term deal until January.

The vastly experienced midfielder, who has 52 caps for Germany to his name, will help bolster an Everton midfield recently depleted due to the injuries to Marouane Fellaini and Darron Gibson.

Still just 30 years old, Hitzlsperger made his name in England during spells with Aston Villa and West Ham, where his left foot and shot power earned him the nickname of “Hammer”.
