Speaking recently about his – as yet undecided – future, the L.A. Galaxy star confirmed what many Evertonians have known all along. He loves Everton.
He admits to still holding the club dear, describing his two stints at Goodison as “a fling that turned into a full blown affair.”
“They really stole my heart when I walked into Goodison Park,” he revealed to ESPN´s Roger Bennett.
“Everyone was so unbelievably welcoming, from Mr Moyes to the tea-lady.”
No hint was given to a possible third stint in Royal blue, in fact the 30 year old has not even decided how much longer his playing career will continue.
“I need to determine if I want to play and if the answer is yes, I need to work out where and for how long.”
