Leighton Baines reckons we may reflect on the point in Lille as an important one if we go on to qualify.
He told evertontv: “It’s not a bad point. When you think about coming away in Europe, it’s always going to be tough.
“We tried to get more than a point but I am sure we will reflect on it and say it was an important one in the end if we do qualify. Not only does it give you a point but it stops the opposition getting an extra two as well.
“Being top of the group at the half way stage is a very good position to be in. When you are going away from home and keeping clean sheets and picking up a point then you would probably take that.”
“It’s a quick turnaround now for Burnley but we are aware of that.
“The manager made a couple of changes for the Lille game, so that gives him room to manoeuvre in terms of what he does at Turf Moor.
“We have a decent squad when everyone is fit and that allows you to cope with all these games.
“Sunday gives us another opportunity to continue our decent form and pick up a result that helps us up the Premier League table.”
