Roberto Martinez believes Everton’s Europa League campaign was an incredible experience and one that created phenomenal memories.
Speaking following Everton’s crushing 5-2 defeat to Dynamo Kiev and subsequent exit from the Europa League, the Everton manager gave credit to the opposition for their phenomenal performance.
Martinez: “The opportunities that they took away were incredible.
“If you look at it from their point of view, its a phenomenal performance to score the goals that they scored.
“I felt that we kept pushing, we kept trying to find a way to get a goal back.
“Now is a moment to be disappointed because we felt we could go all the way but looking back we had an incredible, incredible experience and some phenomenal memories and probably that has given us a real insight at what we need to reach and what we have in the squad in order to try to succeed and win titles. I think this experience has been phenomenal”
