Everton have described Arouna Kone’s knee injury as “not serious”
The 31-year-old Ivorian striker picked up an injury Everton’s 2-1 victory at QPR on Sunday, forcing his substitution on 79 minutes.
Kone was sidelined for over a year because of a major knee ligament injury and concerns had grown that his recovery had suffered a set-back at Loftus Road last weekend with manager Roberto Martinez post match comments revealing: “Arouna Kone is probably the one that we’re a little more worried about, there will be a scan in the next 48 hours on his knee.”
Howerver, the scan results have revealed that Kone has not suffered a serious injury althogh striker remains a doubt for Everton’s next match against Southampton on 4th April.
