Phil Jagielka is keen for Everton to put some pressure on the teams above the club in the league.
Jagielka told evertontv: “It’s going to be a big game just before the international break. We need to make sure we pick up as many points as possible in the run-in, especially at home. We need to try to put a bit of pressure on the people above us.
“Obviously we had a great start, we then had a bit of a dip, but ever since then I think it’s been a positive season.
“We’d have probably liked to have gone a little bit further in the cups but the atmosphere and the way everything is getting changed, the development of the Club on the whole, is great.
“Of course, all that doesn’t matter if the football’s not right but, at the moment, the football’s doing a pretty good job as well.”
