Davy Klaassen won’t be getting an escape route from Everton this January as his proposed move to Napoli has hit a snag, according to the Mail.
The Serie A leaders had serious interest in the Dutch international, as did fellow Italian side Lazio, but Klaassen will be staying put for the time being.
If certain reports are to be believed, then the deal for the former Ajax captain fell through when Napoli came to the realisation that he would be cup-tied in the Europa League.
Despite only playing 180 minutes of Premier League football this campaign, with zero of them coming since late September, Klaassen is ready to fight for his place.
