Everton will look to persuade Shakhtar Donetsk’s manager Paulo Fonseca to take over the reins at Goodison in the summer, according to the Mail.
The Toffees were keen on the former Porto chief before Sam Allardyce’s appointment but after only two wins in the last 10, and suggestions Allardyce was only ever viewed as a temporary stopgap, it seems Everton’s hierarchy are assessing their options.
The Portuguese boss has been at Shakhtar since 2016, he won a league and cup double in his first campaign.
Fonseca’s contract in Ukraine is set to expire at the end of this season.
