Baggies eye Big Sam

Sam Allardyce has emerged as a potential candidate to take up the vacant managerial role at West Brom, according to the Times.

The midlands outfit are reportedly ready to take on Allardyce if the 63-year-old is relieved of his £6 million pound a year Everton contract at the end of the season.

Albion were recently linked to Everton’s first team coach Craig Shakespeare, but it appears they have turned their attention to the more seasoned former England boss.

The Baggies sacked Alan Pardew last week and sit rock bottom of the Premier League, 10 points adrift of safety with just five games left.

With Championship football on the horizon next campaign, it is thought his experience in the division – where he guided West Ham and Bolton Wanderers to promotion – has made him an attractive option for West Brom.
