Davy Klaassen has completed his move to Werder Bremen.
The Dutchman moved to Goodison Park a year ago in a £24m move from Ajax but failed to adapt to life in the Premier League.
He made just three Premier League starts and only 16 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The 25-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the transfer costing an initial £12m – although it could rise to £15m.
Klaassen: “The ambition of the club convinced me to come here.
“I have a very good feeling that I can make a big contribution here. The coach wants to play attractive, offensive football. I am really excited to be here.”
