Henry Onyekuru has included Everton within his thanks after he played a pivotal part in a domestic double for Galatasaray.
The 21-year-old Everton striker scored the winner in a 2-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir to secure the league title for his side after he helped Galatasaray lift the Turkish Cup on Wednesday.
Onyekuru, who bagged an impressive 16 goals in all competitions this campaign said: “It was a difficult game at home in a charged atmosphere, but very happy to make make history with Galatasaray.
“I thank God for this success and it was only possible because of a great team, the support of everyone here and at Everton as well.
“It’s my first success as a professional and to win a double is like living a dream.”
Everton signed Onyekuru for £7m in July 2017 but has yet been able to feature for the club due to work permit issues.
