Carlo Ancelotti returns to former club Chelsea this weekend as he looks to become the first Everton manager since Joe Royle to win an away league game at Stamford Bridge.
The Italian spent two seasons as Chelsea manager, he won the Premier League and FA Cup in his first campaign but was sacked at the end of the second having finished trophyless.
Ancelotti will face off against one of his former players in Frank Lampard on Sunday, Lampard enjoyed an incredible season under the current Everton boss, scoring 22 goals and picking up 14 assists in 36 league outings.
But now they face off as managerial foes, with Lampard losing his one and only meeting with Everton as a manager back in December.
Duncan Ferguson led the Blues to a 3-1 win at Goodison thanks to a Dominic Calvert-Lewin brace and a Richarlison strike.
Everton last trip to Stamford Bridge ended in a 0-0 draw last season.
An Everton victory would close the gap on Chelsea to just five point with nine games remaining and a win would be just what the Toffees need ahead of a massive Merseyside derby next week.
One to watch
The absence of Tammy Abraham has given Olivier Giroud the perfect chance to show Lampard just what he can do.
The Frenchman looked to have no future at the London club but has come right back into the frame recently.
Everton haven’t kept a clean sheet in six games, so Giroud will be confident of getting the better of the Blues’ defence.
Team news
The hosts will be without Callum Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho, Ngolo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Abraham.
Christian Pulisic and Willian are doubts.
Lucas Digne is back for Everton, but Seamus Coleman and Morgan Schneiderlin will miss out.
Man in the middle
Kevin Friend will be in charge of the whistle for this one. in 27 games this season he has dished out 79 yellow cards and six reds.
