Rafael Benitez has been sacked as Everton manager following the 2-1 defeat at Norwich City – a result which extended a dismal run to just 1 win in 13 games.
Having lost 9 of the last 13 Premier League matches, Benitez leaves Everton sat 15th in the Premier League table, just six points above the relegation zone.
Rafael Benitez is the sixth manager to depart since majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri bought shares in Everton in February 2016, following Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva and Carlo Ancelotti out the door.
