Everton are trying to sign James Tarkowski, according to The Telegraph.
The 29-year-old central defender is out of contract at Burnley this summer and ‘Everton have jumped to the front of the queue for Tarkowski’ by offering the central defender a contract worth around £90,000-a-week
Aston Villa are also reported to hold interest in Tarkowski, but it’s Frank Lampard and Everton who have made the first approach with the club believing Tarkowski to be the perfect profile of player to strengthen the defence.
