Report: £28m Everton flop Moise Kean could be set to make Premier League return this summer

Former Everton forward Moise Kean could make a return to Premier League football this summer as Fulham open talks with the Italian international.

Kean joined the Blues in a £29m deal in 2019 and came to Goodison Park with a stellar reputation as one of Europe’s brightest young prospects.

However, the former Juve player struggled in the Premier League, managing just four goals in all competitions, with some underwhelming displays.

After a loan deal at PSG, where Kean scored 13 goals in 26 games, the forward returned to his native Italy, joining former side Juventus on a two-year loan deal in 2021, which was made permanent in March of this year.

However, according to reports in the Evening Standard, Marco Silva wants Kean to fill the Mitrovic-shaped hole in his attack following the Serbian’s move to Saudi Arabia.

Moise Kean disappointed during his time at Everton

The 23-year-old has made 103 appearances across his two spells at Juventus and has scored just 22 goals during that time.

Indeed, the Italian international has underwhelmed in his fledgling career as there were high hopes for the forward following his 2019 move to Goodison Park.

Everton meanwhile are yet to add the much-needed striker to the ranks with little over a week remaining of the transfer window.

After many months chasing Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto, a deal for the 19-year-old appears to be off.

Southampton forward Che Adams continues to be linked with a move to Merseyside, though a deal is yet to be agreed for the Scottish international.

With a must-win game at home to Wolves on Saturday, the club must recruit a forward in time for him to be eligible to feature for Sean Dyche’s side at the weekend.

However, if previous form is anything to go by, let’s not hold our breath.
