Everton are interested in signing Hoffenheim centre forward Maximilian Beier.
The 20-year-old striker has already scored four goals in five Bundesliga games so far this season and has a release clause of around £17m.
Indeed, according to German publication BILD, Everton have been impressed with Beier’s form and could be prepared to meet Hoffenheim’s asking price.
The Germany U-21 international had a two-year loan spell at Hannover 96 between 2021 and 2023, where he scored 15 goals and claimed four assists before returning to his parent club in the summer.
The young striker’s form has also caught the attention of the recently appointed German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann, who is set to reward Beier with his first senior call-up next month.
Should the 20-year-old continue his goalscoring exploits on the international stage, his stock could rise dramatically and there will no doubt be countless European clubs chasing his signature.

Thomas Frank’s Brentford side are also reportedly interested in the 20-year-old striker and could provide Everton with competition for his signature.
However, Everton are reportedly prepared to meet to £17m release clause, though Hoffenheim plan to offer the forward a new long-term contract with a view to securing a higher fee upon his eventual departure.
At 6ft 1in, Beier would join Dominic Calvert-Lewin (6 ft 2in) and £26m signing Beto (6ft 4in) in offering an aerial threat upfront, alongside the 6ft 4in Youssef Chermiti who joined Everton in a £15m deal from Sporting CP in the summer.
Sean Dyche is clearly keen on recruiting target men at Goodison Park and Maximilian Beier would fit the bill, and with four goals and one assist in five Bundesliga games so far this season, the 20-year-old clearly has bags of potential.
