Pundit Chris Sutton has predicted the outcome of West Ham United v Everton on Sunday afternoon.
Sean Dyche’s side travel to the London Stadium off the back of a frustrating albeit predictable derby day result, and Sutton states he has a ‘sneaky feeling’ the Blues will bounce back this weekend.
Indeed, Sutton insists that with forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin now ‘looking sharp’, Everton could get something out of the game.
Writing in his weekly BBC Sport column, Sutton predicts a 1-1 draw in the capital, stating: “I just have a sneaky feeling that Everton are going to get something, especially with Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit and looking sharp.
Calvert-Lewin has obviously had a lot of injuries but I am not going to apologise for admiring him. Everton’s season depends on him, and he can definitely help them get a point here, for starters.
West Ham are a well-balanced side and Everton fans will know very well how organised teams are under David Moyes, but I can see the Toffees scrapping this one out for a draw.”
The Hammers are without a Premier League win in the month of October, with a 2-2 draw at home to Newcastle United followed by a 4-1 defeat at Villa Park.
David Moyes’ side did manage a 2-1 away win at SC Freiburg in the Europa League earlier this month but suffered a 2-1 defeat at Olympiacos yesterday evening.
It has been a relatively inconsistent period for West Ham, who sit in ninth place in the Premier League table, and it is a game that the Toffees could get something out of.
A point on the road would certainly be a point gained, especially as we’re sitting precariously just three points above the relegation zone.
