Ben Godfrey has left Everton for Serie A side Atalanta, for a fee in the region of £11m.
Although undisclosed, the deal is reported to include some add-ons, as well as a sell-on clause.
Godfrey joined Everton from Norwich for £25m in 2020 and went on to make 93 appearances for the Toffees, including 16 last season. He was entering the final 12 months of his contract at Goodison Park.
The 26-year-old used his Instagram account to thank fans for the welcome and support during his time at the club.
Godfrey: “When I joined the club in 2020, everyone at the club from fans, staff and players made me feel welcome. I’ve made some great memories at this football club and will always appreciate my time there, but now it’s time to move onto my next challenge. Thank you for all your support.. all the best”
