Everton 1-1 Fulham

Substitute Beto heads home a 94th minute stoppage-time equaliser to extend Everton’s Premier League unbeaten run to 5 games.

Sean Dyche‘s team seemed destined for a loss after a subdued display, but substitute Beto converted Ashley Young’s cross in the 94th minute to cancel out Alex Iwobi’s opener.

Everton thought they’d opened the scoring with their first real threat on goal. Idrissa Gueye unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box that thundered off the crossbar, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin slotting in the rebound, only to see the offside flag deny them.

At the other end, Kenny Tete surged forward and got a shot off, but the right-back couldn’t find the target under pressure.

In the final minutes of the half, Bernd Leno was called into action when Dwight McNeil headed Vitalii Mykolenko’s cross on target, but the Fulham keeper was well positioned to make the save.

Fulham then created two more opportunities before the break. First, Issa Diop’s glancing header flew just over from Andreas’ whipped delivery, and then Alex Iwobi tried his luck at the far post but couldn’t find the finish.

Fulham kept up the pressure after the break, with Andreas taking a shot on the turn that rolled wide following some clever play from Smith Rowe in the buildup.

The breakthrough came at the 60-minute mark as Smith Rowe waltzed through Everton’s tentative midfield, setting up Iwobi, who slotted the ball into the bottom corner to make it 1-0.

Marco Silva’s side seemed set for all three points, but Ashley Young’s cross found substitute Beto, who bundled the ball in from close range to snatch a point.
