Everton Set Sights on Leeds Chief Angus Kinnear

Everton Football Club is reportedly considering Leeds United’s Chief Executive, Angus Kinnear, for a pivotal role in their new management structure under the ownership of The Friedkin Group.

According to The Telegraph, The Friedkin Group have set their sights on the 47-year-old as they look to bolster their off-field operations ahead of the much-anticipated move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Kinnear’s extensive experience in overseeing stadium transitions makes him a strong candidate. Notably, he served as Arsenal’s Commercial Director during their move to the Emirates Stadium in 2007 and was Managing Director at West Ham United during their transition to the Olympic Stadium.

Kinnear, who has been at the helm of Leeds United for nearly eight years, is known for his direct engagement with supporters and outspoken nature.

In addition to targeting Kinnear, Everton is reportedly interested in appointing former club captain David Weir as Director of Football. Weir, currently holding a similar position at Brighton & Hove Albion, has a strong connection with Everton’s recently reappointed manager, David Moyes.
