The Friedkin Group is reportedly nearing a takeover of Everton, according to sources cited by Bloomberg.
Bloomberg report their sources claim ‘Friedkin and Everton owner Farhad Moshiri are in advanced stages to strike a deal, which would bring an end to months of uncertainty at the Liverpool-based football team’
An attempted sale to Miami-based 777 Partners LLC fell through earlier this year, creating an opportunity for other potential buyers. AS Roma owner Dan Friedkin entered into exclusive negotiations but announced in July that he would not be moving forward with the takeover. However, talks have since resumed, and Friedkin is once again in negotiations to acquire Everton.
