All the moaning in the world isnt going to put things right at this club. Success is all down to money, paying the best salaries, which attract the best players. We need " Sand People" to invest in the club to ever get anywhere near the top clubs. We can chase a few rounds in the FA Cup Lge Cup but will never win nothing until big investment arrives and 3 seasons at least to attract the right players in. Breaks my heart having watched us from the late 50"s. Now got to the point of just accepting it.
That's rubbish. Yes, money is important and is needed to be at the top of the league but first and foremost you need a well managed club with a good coach. Newcastle has spent far less than Everton or Villa and they are in the Championship spots. Look at Chelsea and the amount they spent and they are finishing in the bottom half. Blaming money is just an excuse fans use rather than admit the failings of their club are 100% due to the management of the club and have nothing to do with FFP, P&S, VAR or Refs

Men against Boys! Turned out a Champions Lge winning side on the pitch AND another Champions Lge winning side was sat on the bench. We are light years behind! On another planet from us.

Played well in parts I thought, but best team in the world with the best individuals and they’re going to produce the final end product that they did today. That’s all they needed to do.

Patterson and Garner though. Those lads are going to be top. Really promising future for us those two I reckon. Superb today

We went behind and didn't compete. It was easy for City. We lost 3 nil at home. There's nothing to be happy about, other than we dont play City again.

I expected us to play with a lot more aggression and to be more competitive. Not to be 3 down a few mins after half time.
Thank Sean for playing the total waster that is Maupay... Why can't Sean see that Simms is better??? Sean has to go

Maybe yeh. Seen them all outside the boxes at the ground today and never noticed it before. Then seen the massive guard they made on the dugout. Was like they where expecting an assassination attempt
It wont stop 20 people running at that human security cordon let alone hundreds or even thousands.

Whilst Man City deserved the win the standard of refereeing was again very poor, city won every decision. It I suppose when you are a no mark team like us what can you expect?

I have said it before and will say it again, we have a license to spend this summer if Moshiri can plough any more dosh in as the new stadium will be opening the year after generating more dosh.

Not saying go mad but we are desperate for pace and some creativity in the middle but also depends on what league we are in.

I know the players are awful. I was saying it years ago but I expect them to fight and make it difficult. If you are going to lose then make it difficult.
We did a great job for the first half hour.. if only Dyche played Gray instead of the poor Iwobi... maybe we would've created something

Disappointing today, but, todays game wasn't the problem, it was the games against other teams at Goodison, teams like Fulham, Forest etc, who we should have beaten and didn't. City are one of the best teams around, they have quality right through their squad, both the first choices and the back ups. In fact, such is the quality of their squad, that it's difficult to know who are the first choices and what who are the back ups. It could have been worse today, at least the goal difference didn't take too much of a battering.

Dont agree. You can have a good management team in but if you aint got big money available, huge investment and dont offer a minimum £200k a week to players, you aint going to compete with the big boys.

Elitism is very English trait...

Everybody accepts that Maupay is a muppet so why does Dyche keep picking him and why does he play Holgate who is also a muppet, I know Gray got a few minutes today but what has he done to upset Dyche, leading scorer till he came in.

Think it dose these incidents as it creates momentum for or against. Laporte should have least had a yellow for the reaction.
Yeah I agree it gives teams impunity to carry on fouling as they know they won't get pulled up on it. It just makes the task more difficult when you don't get a fair crack of the whip.

Questions on Patterson but agree with Garner. Watched him at Utd and only let go because of expensive players in his position. Always had glowing reports but didnt get game time.

I found it shocking that the ref was laughing and joking with Haaland. The ref was clearly star struck by Haaland, how does that make for fair decisions?
