Man City appear to have waited till deadline day to pay a 60m release clause that they probably could have paid 30days ago.

When adding to the squad is not urgent because you feel you have a good squad already and it is more looking for a good bargain then yes I agree. When you need players since the end of the summer window and it is urgent, it's just pure incompetence.

So we wait deadline day to actually start bidding for players...like tom fellows...this is beyond incompetence. It's not like we don't need players. Different owners, same outcome...

We've even done the thing of holding back actually admitting we are even interested in a player we knew we had effectively signed days ago, so they can unveil him tonight when we don't sign anyone else. We will always be run the same, no matter who is in charge!

If we actually want Fellows and see him as a part of the club for the long term future then pay the money to get him now rather than waiting for the summer. There’ll be value in him acclimatising to the club and hitting the ground running next season.

I wonder how far down our list we are with Fellows, its transfer deadline day and we e thrown in a bid, doesn’t sound like he was a no 1 target mate.

I’m choosing to look at it this way

If we don’t sign a striker then it creates a possibility for someone like Chermitti or Sherif to step up and do something with an opportunity they wouldn’t have otherwise got
