If it came down to deserving to play at Goodison the first would have been barred from playing there years ago.
It makes good sense to redevelop Goodison for the ladies and U21`s as if the ladies game continue to grow in popularity there`s potential to earn match day revenue for the club that they won`t earn at WHP. Most of the WSL teams are playing their games at smaller clubs grounds that have no connection with the club. The odd game gets played at the main stadium, like our game at Villa Park today, and the lack of atmosphere is terrible.
No other club in the WSL will have an opportunity to have a separate home for their ladies team that will have a historical connection with their club. It will be a case of playing in a lower teams home ground or an odd big game in the main stadium.
