Match Thread Liverpool vs Everton, Wed 2nd April 20:00

Feels like the least important Derby for ages.
They’ve got the league wrapped up. We’re safe and the next run of fixtures feels like finishing a few places higher might be too much to ask.

Hope I’m wrong like…

They'll be whinging from minute 1 about our rough tactics. They'll get about 30 free kicks, we'll get 4. We'll get 6 yellow cards and a red, they'll commit 10 yellow card offences and get 1 yellow card in the 98th minute for a substitute for delaying a throw in. They'll get at least 1 penalty and score from a free kick and/or corner, we'll have at least 2 obvious penalty shouts ignored and a goal disallowed by VAR. They'll win 3-1. In other words, a standard derby at Mordor.

The Liverpool penaltycopter is on standby in case they need airlifting out of a sticky situation again.

I wouldn't play Dourcore, having him on pitch will just cause chaos. We want to stay calm and avoid getting cards, because we know refs favour them. Plus we need to take chances and be ruthless

We are flying and have confidence. It's also a free hit as we are safe and they have the league locked up.

I'd love to see us have a go and a 2-2 type game up and down the pitch. Perhaps we even steal a winner late, although that's usually been them all season. Salah (Pen) '92 and such

Really looking forward to this though.

(Probably will be 5-0 to them then)

@blue to the bone I'm going to have to start setting an alarm 24hrs after one match ends to give you a reminder to start the next match thread!

We're playing with fire here, the mojo is going to get broken 😞
I dunno why anyone would start a match thread 2 weeks out !
I won't be doing anymore this season anyway. I'll leave it to those who get giddy..the premature speculators
Another thread starter i have on ignore too !! There's a trend

Rather Alcaraz on the pitch than Doucs but loving the idea of him starting just to set that lot off on the pitch and in the stands. The likes of McAllister, Van Dijk or Robertson would try something snide on him but have no faith in the officials acting on it. If Doucoure starts he needs to be disciplined and not react like that red card he got for the Kane incident which Kane embarrassed himself over

Flying? We've drawn 4 on the spin, all against teams in the bottom half, with no clean sheets.
Granted, it's a lot better than a couple of months ago, but the squad is looking tired and severely lacking depth.
