Shirt sponsorship is and always will be crap. It doesn’t matter what the brand is - though some are undoubtedly more embarrassing than others.

It’s a necessary evil I wish there was some way back from.

Story in The Athletic that Everton and Leicester are in hot water,
“The Coalition to End Gambling Ads (CEGA) has written to Everton and Leicester, which respectively display Stake.com and BC.Game’s logos on the front of their playing shirts, and urged the Gambling Commission (GC) — the body responsible for regulating gambling in the UK — to take action against them.”

Basically they’ve a used VPN and fake ID to beat the geoblocks on the respective gambling companies.
Stake basically replied to request for comment that the CEGA basically acted in bad faith etc and orchestrated a malicious and fraudulent character assassination.
Quite a good reply.

The club have said they are compliant with the relevant requirements.

Basically 3 points deducted & a penalty to Liverpool.

Disagree, as a GROWN MAN, I'd like to see a reputable company on the front of the shirt, it also represents the club better.

Hard to decide what's reputable though, Arsenal being sponsored by Emirates is significantly cooler than what we've had since I can remember.

Megafon looked class on the birds shirts, but sadly that ship has now sailed.

Toyota would be decent.

I think it’ll be Lexus…and the stadium will be The Lexus Stadium. They are the luxury car division of Toyota.

If say Toyota did sponsor the stadium and shirt I'd reckon they would go with Toyota sponsoring one and Lexus the other.

I think they should target brands who's own marketing/branding is aligned with our colours, I'm not certain but I have a very vague recollection of Pepsi sponsoring a team on the continent in the 80s/90s? They are the first I thought of but there are no doubt others?!

I'd rather none. People aren't billboards. Let's keep some dignity. (And yes, I get the need for grubby cash etc.)

The rest of the statement I agree 100% and that is how it would be in a perfect World, which as an Everton supporter you know this isn't! It's ALL about the Money but @Mr Happy has Nailed It for me if we could, show all the good we do for the City and wider region in general, plus promoting a great Club charity.

If Toyota are associated via TFG (possibly stadium name too) then swerve the shirt sponsor and put EITC on the shirt. Toyota get plastered on everything else. Job done.
