Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Mastantuono from River Plate. ACM. Replacement for the mediocre dross we have now. Young and massive potential. In 3 years he will be a top talent-vault me. I have never seen him play, but a combination of chat gpt and transfer market.com have left me in no doubt that this boy is special. Go get him Davey
A similar process has led me to the discovery of Tyrique George, a 19 year old Chelsea winger who we should sign on loan next season

I'll tell you what, we wouldnt be talking about our crap free kicks with him in the team.

Left footed and looks exciting cutting in off the right from the snippets ive seen on youtoob.

The Tariq Lamptey rumours continue, he deserves a medal for continuing to want to play footba after all these injuries...its one heck of a list

Left footers on the left please. I want players that can take the defender on down the line. Harrison has scarred me for life of left-footers being played on the right.

Because I haven’t (and will never) chat nonsense for clicks. Last month it was ‘you have lost everything because you didn’t tweet early team news’, so I did this week and got pelters by a few people. Literally can’t win 😂

Could you sneak about and plant a few post-it notes around please?

Preferably one with 'SIGN Chris Rigg' and another with 'SIGN Liam Delap'...perhaps a third with 'SIGN Rayan Cherki'. 100 of each will do, posted in every imaginable location.

For the ultimate level unlocking, 'NO Tomas Soucek', 'NO Tariq Lamptey' and suchlike regarding the dross linked. Just these in Moyes' office.

We'll also need to see you videoing the 'planting' of each and every single one of those post-it notes and the real-time reactions of whoever sees them first.

Or, clearly you've lost your contact(s) inside the club.

If you can complete this task, next week we'll have you sending actual offers to clubs for their players.

May the force be with you.

We really don't know how this committee is going to work or the transfer strategy. Maybe Moyes pitches a fit for Soucek and gets shown the door by Kinnear.
If Moyes proposes him he it should warrant his termination as it will show where his head is at. I’d trust Moyes on transfers if we had little more money but have zero faith if he has a large pot.

Feels like a bigger and bigger summer as time goes by.

We need at least 4/5 forward players which are expensive. Keeping Ndiaye, Alcaraz and McNeil still means digging deep into our pockets for goal threat.

Broja, DCL, Chermiti, Beto, Lindstrom, Harrison … all to go

Would like to see Graham on the bench for the last few games
Agree. Reluctantly to say he might keep at least beto and Harrison.

I struggle to understand why Broja can't be more of a threat, but we don't put good enough balls in at the moment either...

Illusory Truth Effect.

(Also digging the brother out because he knows more than you. Pathetic)

To challenge for the league we'd need

A new GK, RB, LB, CB, reserve CB, LW, CM CM CM RW ST ST ST + 4 additional squad fillers + new manager, coaching staff, mind set physical output increase, quicker, faster, happier squad, more luck than we've had in the last 30 years, every ref on our side, VAR to be pro corrupt in our favour

If all of the above happened

We may finish 2nd
You might as well ask for a new stadium.

Think it’s quite obvious DCL won’t be here next year, he’d have signed a new deal by now. There’s no way on gods green earth we go in to next season with Beto and Chermiti as our strike force so we’ll 100% be signing A striker in the summer. It’s going to be interesting to see who we go for.

There’s a good chance we sign two
Or one and a loan, I think they
Will try and off load Beto back to Italy, he’s not god enough as a back up and Moyes was obviously annoyed With him on Saturday

Its a safety blanket because our midfield is not good enough too I guess. A number ten is fine if they are a good number ten who is a threat and links midfield and attack, we do not. Ndiaye would be good as part of a front three, we need pace up front and on the right.
Yep, the idea with a number 10 in the way Moyes and Dyche use them is that they press/cut passing lanes in a 442 out of possession and then they are the secondary goal scoring threat after the striker.

They don't typically go for your stereotypical creative number 10 because that type of player tends not to do enough defensively and, like it or not, 442 out of possession is still the favoured defensive shape for most managers - even Pep still does this a lot.

What it does do, however, is to mean you have one less man in deeper areas at times during build up play - this usually leads to one or both of your wide players tucking in or at least not being as far forward as a wide player in a 433 would be.

There are definitely defensive advantages to the number 10 mould that Moyes and Dyche employ (this isn't new for Moyes - think Cahill/Fellaini last time he was here and Soucek at West Ham - Paqueta played from the left a lot), but like any system there are ways it makes you weaker too.

I think we need to go all out for Liam Delap:

We can offer:
Guaranteed 1st team football
Big wages - £100k+

If he has a £30m clause which is to be believed, get in early, see if Man City wants him back now and move now to get a key signing in early.

Another key element is next season is a World Cup year so going into a season as No 9 for a Premier League club is a huge plus.

Same agents as Pickford and Chemiti so we have a good relationship with them.

He would be the first of a key signing which would provide a domino effect and encourage other targets to look at joining over other clubs.
