So is that the game when we wore away kit at home then, had they forgotten theirs or had the game been switched ?

I was there but have no recollection why we wore amber. They wore red iirc!
And yes they got a great reception at the start because of their heroics against Leeds. Was so excited to go through.....only to lead to one of the worst days of my Everton supporting life in the semi. A truly bad week that one.

Yes I was just a kid then. Got in throught the gates at 3/4 time just in time to see Bally's goal. There is footage of this game on the history video.
