Carlisle v Everton 1975, hope we get a better result tomorrow as we lost this game 3 nil. It was a First Division match played when Carlisle were in the top flight.
Thanks mate! Back into therapy for me. It was shortly after a creditable draw vs Leeds away that made it look like we were edging towards the title. Never turned up and were well beaten. Got beat 3-2 having had a 2-0 halftime lead against them in the home match!! Big sigh!

...Carlisle remained the only team we haven't beaten in top flight football although I suspect that also might apply to Bournmouth now.

.....great photo. In those days it was a really good pedigree to be a schoolboy u15 international. I think Archie Styles went to Venice St school in Anfield. He looked a classy LB and went to Birmingham as part of the Latchford deal. He lives in West Derby these days.

English League Division One match at Goodison Park. Everton 0 v Leeds United 1. Referee Ken Stokes sent off all the Everton and Leeds players for 10 minutes after 40 minutes of brutal football during which one player was sent off and two carried off injured Derek Temple
