Progressing well if you ask me, he looks better than last year, he looks more of a goal threat, he's doing well, not his fault he finds himself first/second choice striker.

He's crap. I see nothing in him to suggest he is going to suddenly become a good striker.
His goal ratio is the equivalent of most of the forwards around us at the moment so he clearly isn’t ‘crap’ as you histrionically assert.
Secondly most strikers don’t ‘suddenly’ become good they have to work hard to achieve their status over several seasons.
He is young , already capable and is improving exponentially with every game.
In any case it is clear the manager and DoF believe in him and it’s their job to know these things.

He is miles away from what we need and if we carry on playing him hoping he will come good then we will have a very long season. One to keep in storage and see if he can improve otherwise get in a striker asap as we need one urgently

We just won 5-1 with him starting. He's fine.

He is not. He is not good enough. How many chances did he have or create against Burnley. We had 3 goals from defenders, 1 goal from a pen. Need the striker to be getting in positions to score or create chances himself. DCL doesn't do it. Not good enough as of yet.

And so you'd have used whom on Boxing Day? Niasse? Cenk?

I cannot wait until he proves so many of you wrong. It is clear that you cannot see what else he offers, it is not just goals front men offer you know, he is about occupying defenders, creating space and running the channels. He does this better than Cenk and Niasse hence game time.
Players like him really show how little some fans actually understand.

But he was absolute garbage in the Spurs game, just looked like he did'nt want to even be on the pitch, Silva had to try something different.

Great cutback to find Walcott for the goal, and a great goal of his own that was incorrectly disallowed. Pretty good CF display up to the point the whole team fell apart after the mistake, so I don't think it's fair to single him out.
