Everyone loves attacking & scoring. It puts a spring in your step, makes you feel like you are contributing & makes you want to do it again & again. Ok so not everyone can play like that but we have lacked goals from outside of DCL & Richy & now we have 3 more players from midfield seriously contributing. Makes a big difference.

He is not a player who is effective on a ball-possessing team, but comes more to his right for a team that plays more directly and that focuses on breakdowns. Fits today's Everton style perfectly.

That was my issue with him today. He didn't play directly. He was very happy to recycle possession which he's not effective at doing.

He definitely played like a support striker a lot because his hold up play and especially his chest control was unreal but I think when he was at peak he broke up loads of opposition play and was like a slow but dynamic box to box.
Truly an incredible player on his day, strange that he never really made a dent in football after leaving us, he put in some truly unplayable performances at times.
