Rafffa to blame, he should’ve played Gordon not the iwob, and the young striker Dobbin not the already proven terrible Rondon. Shocking we have dropped points to such a poor team in West Ham.

West ham aren't a poor team.
Tbh the options are abysmal. Results like this dont surprise me that much as the depth of the squad in areas of the pitch are laughable for a club like Everton.
Rondon right now is like someone who had a pair of boots spare and got a game.

Nonsense. West Ham are the best of the rest and will probably finish comfortably above us this season, as they did last season.

It’s a frustrating one that today because West Ham didn’t really do much they kept the ball well but apart from one shot in the first half Pickford didn’t have much to do in goal. We conceded from a set piece which was sloppy and came close a few times but that lack of quality up front paid dividends today. Like others have said if dcl and richy were fit we probably win that today.

As for team selection the only one I questioned was Iwobi for Gordon but let’s hypothetically say Gordon started today and missed those chances then the fanbase criticises Benitez for leaving a 30 mil player on the bench. Yes iwobi was shocking and shouldn’t play for us but Gordon is only 20 and has hardly set the world alight in his previous performances for us or even on loan at Preston last season. I believe he deserved to keep his place after his performance against utd but there is no way you can honestly believe that if Gordon started today we would have definitely won. The only other selection issues are dobbin and Mina. Have no idea how anyone can say that Mina should have started. All the South American players didn’t play for their clubs this weekend so why should Mina? As for dobbin. 99% of the fanbase don’t even know who he is but thinks he should start ahead of Rondon. I get it that people think Rondon is crap and that their granddads could play better but if Benitez starts dobbin and he has a real stinker that lads career could be over before it begins there is no need to put pressure on a young lad like that. Same goes with brining him on to try and chase a draw. It’s just pointless. The real issue is the lack of squad depth which needs to be addressed in January. Today wasn’t a Benitez problem it was a moshiri and brands problem which goes back years and years of bad decisions and poor spending which are affecting us now as we try and rebuild yet again under a new regime. At least under this regime we are still creating chances and getting some decent results with absolute turd burglars in the squad

Had to watch in pub amongst whu fans here in Essex. Was bloody painful.
Got talking to one of them.
apparently “should” be winning against a club “like” Everton.
And apart from some history yes, are a smaller club with a smaller stadium.
(They are soon to apply for a safety certificate to use all 66k seats in their stadium).
“their” stadium ffs? Tax payers more likely! Although whu are looking to purchase it medium/long term.
w*%kers.
Glad I'm back home.
just have to face the t*ats in work tomorrow. ?‍♂️

Pointless blaming the manager. How many have to pass through? Koeman Allardyce Silva Ancelotti Benitez.

They can’t all be wrong. These players are not very good. No conviction, no confidence on the ball. They literally came out and for ten minutes couldn’t make a simple five yard pass. Doucoure couldn’t control the ball and he’s one of our supposed best players. As a bell weather for where we are, Demarai Gray looks one of our best players by a mile and he’s a player that Leicester and Leverkusen two upper mid table sides decided they didn’t really need. Townsend who is also good for us sometimes didn’t make the Palace team.

It’s a bad group that needs shifting out. There’s no leadership in defence when Mina doesn’t play. The midfield two are all hustle but not much technique or creativity. The attack is almost non existent without DCL and Richarlison (who also both have their limitations). There’s zero off the bench. West Ham are a mid table team and have a far far better squad than us with players sat on their bench who would have walked into our side today.

We need to stop blaming the manager. It’s years of horrendous recruitment, mixed with awful player fitness and conditioning which is effectively killing every manager we get through the door. None have a chance.

Can I blame the manager for us being crap at set-pieces?

Because we were pretty good at them last season and the only thing that's changed is the manager.

Just like I can say that Ancelotti didn't get the best out of Docuoure, but Benitez is?

If we were crap at set pieces we would have got relegated cos we were crap at everything else under ancelotti

We have just too few half decent players. Half of them were out with injuries and the rest had an off day today.
Not making excuses, as this is all down to poor squad building and recruiting over numerous seasons. Until we get that right, we are going to have many more games like this.
