your right the outright trail of destruction he has left since the day he walked through the door is more than enough already,

Trail of destruction. Identifying areas of the squad which need work on. Doing internal reviews on club staff which resulted in some of our medical staff getting the boot. Ordering our youth sides to adopt 1st team tactics and work in cohesion. Potentially getting rid of Brands.

No one cares while the team loses every week. His job is to win 3 points, not assess physios and doctors

Newcastle in 17/18 lost 8 games out of 9, were 18th in the league and finished 10th.

In 18/19 Newcastle were 20th after 9 games, with 0 wins, they finished 13th.

Thats why he talks about 2nd half of the season. Rafas teams always start slowly and finish well.

Oh good to know that we can look forward to that every year.

That really wasn't the best of pressers. He is hanging on to this dream that getting Dom & Mina back will shoot us up the table. It won't. Completely avoided the question of funding available. Avoided the club accountability question. Embarrassing to say we ran more because we bloody had too you idiot to chase thier far superior passing & movement. Also why can't the journo's ask the questions that really need asking. Basically we learned that Seamus was sorry, we ran about a bit & it'll be alright in the second half of the season based on 3 games from the start. He thinks he's saying the right things like hard work, commitment & we know what to fix but he's also so bloody elusive & comes across as a man with hope rather than a man with a workable plan.

It's the same thing his supporters have pinned all their hopes on.

It's all they have left when there's been no evidence he has a clue what he's doing for 2 months.

Someone should tell the pudding that winning matters for 38 games of a season, not just after Christmas then

There are some good points in there. I do feel from a tactical perspective another body in midfield would have helped on Wednesday because the last thing you need against them is conceding a goal early. Frustrate them and get a foothold in the game. We weren’t going to press effectively with Rondon either which gave them outballs to easy but to be fair for our failings they passed the ball well on the night. The thing which did outrage me at the time was putting Delph on at 3-1. You could say the game was gone but go down fighting. We put up the white flag. I don’t think some players are happy currently. Digne and Coleman in particular have not been themselves, Richarlison didn’t look up for the fight for me. I would give Coleman a break personally and give Kenny or Holgate a run. Priority is a Right back in the Window. All is not lost though. A couple of wins could have us looking up rather than looking below us.
@Saint Domingo has done the hard yards of picking out of the debris the areas of progress that are salvageable. Not an easy thing to do to sift through that with the blizzard of BS surrounding the results themselves. Most people haven't got the ability to do it. And many will receive it by shouting down those efforts because they're lazy and / or not listening to reason. So hats off to him.

To your point: yes: we were outgunned in the middle but I think the plan must have been to get on the scoresheet and change the mood music of the evening. It didn't happen. They're the breaks.

More than anything we need a confidence building performance and three points. That and Mina and / or DCL back will settle this team right down. Confidence is the key. Even this lot can get to midtable with ease.

Mate they had 3 clear cut chances in the opening 7 minutes before they scored, it wasn’t a “break” that they took the lead. We set up completely wrong.
