The Big Rebuild

Where's the money coming from to rebuild? Anyone have an idea what the summer transfer budget will be?

One of the strikers will have to be cashed in on really.

Good for DCL after a nightmare season but ultimately Richarlison gives way more so he's the one that needs to be kept at all costs.

Tonight again showed when put under pressure the defence is a complete mess without Mina so 1) I'd keep him around until January and 2) probably look at signing someone like Tarkowski as was watching Villa game and he was heading away all their crosses expertly so in short term he could be a Jagielka type steadying influence for the backline. If Mina could stay fit first half of next season then that's a reliable enough CB combo which has been rarely seen this year.

Midfield needs loads of work aswell. Good result next season is 11th-13th. Danger is slow start, lack of home wins and panic button hit in November with Lampard sacked. A 2017 transfer window repeat to potentially replace Richarlison can't happen at any cost otherwise relegation becomes a massive threat again.

Not going to be an easy rebuild at all.

Actual, legitimate strategy:

In reality, we'll be stuck with the vast majority of this squad, so what we really need to do is pack USM Finch Farm with treadmills and punchbags, absolutely beast these chumps and make them the fittest players in the league.

What we lack in quality, we absolutely have to make up for in fitness, effort and appetite for hard work. We have come so, so close to relegation and we need to consolidate our Premier League status with a boring season or two idling around mid table, iteratively improving the squad in each transfer window. But the foundation for us to be able to do that is fitness, effort and mindset.

Kenwright needs to be the first out of the door.
He will be the last to go.

I feel like with all the players out of contract in the summer we need shed loads of players and that’s before we look at who we would like to sell and the players who want out.
5 players contract end this summer, 9 more expire next summer.

What Moyes did (until the revolt)
