Not sure why our players were being slapped and having fans getting in their face. We didn't put Everton in that position!
I sympathise with the Palace players tbf, and I'd rather our fans didn't go on the pitch, that being said Vieira can't react like that, what kind of example does it set

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a racist / personal thing that pushed him over the edge. Over years of being in the PL , and especially at places like Spurs & Man U, Viera must have a thick skin and be used to abuse on the pitch. It's a shame it happens, but from understanding it's the worst 'crossing the line' abuse that pushes them over the edge.

Seeing this whole pitch invasion I've got really mixed feelings.
Of course it's worth going crazy celebrating that we escaped relegation. We should NOT be celebrating it, but after such a horrible season at least it feels good. We should be celebrating getting in Europe and winning stuff, and we'll get abuse for celebrating 16th place, when the other lot win 2-4 cups .
On the other hand, I'm surprised that players were not escorted or looked after, and even though our fans are generally great, there's always potential for an idiot, and even our players who have not always been loved could have been under threat. Luckily most people don't repeat in real life what they say behind the safety of their phones & keyboards!
Wow what an accusation with no evidence. Have you seen the video? The lad says nothing but get in and f-off. Please stop with this nonsense.

Getting strong vibes from some people that they think it's fine to give the Mrs a slap every now and again, just to show her who's boss you know? And the kids. They start playing up they deserve a good belt eh fellas?

It's 2022, you can't just go round smacking people who give you a bit of verbals. The fan was an idiot but Vieira wasn't defending himself or trying to get past, he lost his rag because somebody called him a muppet and went back on himself to swing a kick at them. It's not a massive deal, but it's not alright to do what he did and nobody should be saying it is.

Sounds like you’re asking for a slap lad.

Only joking, violence in any form shouldn’t be condoned.

Think you lost any credibility basically calling people woman bashers here.

Is that a big leap? That the sort of people who think it's OK to physically attack a 17 year old lad who swears at you might be the same sort of people who think it's OK to physically attack a woman for a similar thing? Is that the wrong side of the Neanderthal code then?

Did the fan act like a prick? Yes
Was vierras response that of a professional? No
Both were wrong - hope both get punished

Kids defo deserve a good hiding if they step out.

My mother did it to me and it served me well.

But no, there is never an excuse to hit a woman.

But another man comes in my face and gives me abuse, you can bet hes kissing pavement.

I think what Vieira did was fair, but I also slap my Mrs every now and again.

Not sure what side I’m on here.

I very much doubt anyone on here thinks its ok to hit a woman or a kid. Why you even said that had me slightly bemused.
