Takeover bid by Peter Kenyon

In what world are these Americans a good thing for the club?

Anyone...?
Calming down from he initial surprise of the team even being for sale let alone the possibility of exclusive rights for the Kenyon group, I will say there is the potential that the pitch is in part a leverage ploy to garner interest from other parties.

That said that is a very big asterisk IF. If that isn't the case and this very uninspiring lackluster group with questions on resources, sports experience and associations do become the owners, the club might have been sold without public knowledge overnight in a boardroom. That is full stop unacceptable.

Simply put Everton should take the time to garner more offers.

Lerner was a big soccer fan.

Moshiri whilst clueless about football clearly came into the game more for the enjoyment than making money - him/Usmanov wanted full control of Arsenal for years to do a Chelsea/City before FFP came in and he could have EASILY taken a cheaper option on the stadium instead of the more expensive and complex BMD project.

Paying big wages / enticing Ancelotti when he could have just appointed Steve Bruce and given him two bob to spend (im sure the same fans bashing him for overspending would have been made up with that).

Damned if you do damned if you dont.

Moshiri can be a bad owner and these potential new owners can still be trouble

I don't think the two have to be mutually exclusive

As bad a job as Moshiri has done, and it has been pretty terrible, he still might be a better bet than a bunch of Yanks who will load us with debt and squeeze us for every penny

You just don’t know that though, it’s guessing. What isn’t a guess though and has far more evidence to support it, is that we’re going nowhere but backwards under this clown.

Bed for gods sake you fool lol lol

You do realise that £500 million Moshiri will make from any sale he will have made spending £50 million over 6 years and not burning £500+ million on crap?

He could have taken a loan out to cover the beginning of the BMD foundation works but he never he covered the costs himself (believed to be circa £100 million).

But of course all he has thought about is making money whilst pissing it around like a drunken sailor :hayee:

I'm happy for the Blues to jump in to bed with the first big money charlatan that flashes the cash. As long as they have a better business and football brain than the Moshiri-Kenwright axis of evil, we'll be better off.

It's a fair point. I think others have suggested he's not as enthusiastic about owning us any more as he was when he first arrived. And the on field woes and off field financial accounting mess probably makes him question what he is doing owning a football club.

It might seem obvious I just can't get beyond what has happened as a result of what a certain repugnant person in Russia decided to do in Ukraine and the seismic after effects. Which means Moshiri's business partner is targeted creating knock on effects including our ties with the various organisations who were sponsoring us ending. I think it's probably unfair to think of Moshiri as Usmanov's sidekick but Moshiri is definitely not the main man and now that Usmanov
is on a sabbatical Moshiri needs to reign in this vanity project.

Which to be honest I feel has been a complete failure. With the existing chairman still mulling over those good times we've had.
Complete failure is a tad harsh, yes horrendous mistakes made, and they all seemed to come one after the other. But think back 6 years when we got Walsh and Koeman and had loads of money to spend on the market them two are the main reason we are in this mess. Men with football knowledge that should have known better.

He has delivered on the stadium

Kopites claim to be "big soccer fans". Most of them don't know the first thing about football, though.

Mate, there’s so much. The Hollywood of the North West after appointing Koeman, James McCarthy is family after trying to sign Sissoko and my personal favourite of all time - his racist voodoo comments about Lukaku’s ma

We laugh at this but it’s deeply sick when you actually think about it. What would possess you to lie about that?

Only when we are playing in it will he have delivered on it. Still big question marks over funding and what any potential new owners will do.

this all day rather let moshiri get the correct people in than a not knowing what with someone cash kings.

Based on a their own history of owning the red socks. Klopp still is their crown jewel in being successful.

Kenwrong has been here the whole time. So unless he's just happy to get a free season ticket, he has a lot to answer for as someone who's been part of running a club for decades

They employed people who run the sporting side of things and they deal with the business side; which is what should happen not what Moshiri has done. That’s why they appointed Klopp, because of the experience they had around them.

Moshiri got a hard on for Silva because he once watched Olympiacos snot Arsenal

And Kenwright gets no pass either. There as bad as each other
