    News of Ex Players

Gary Naismith has been quietly plugging away as manager of Stenhousemuir for nearly 3 years now. He got Stenny promoted from Scottish League 2 in his first full season with them, their first title in their 140 year history. They’re now sitting in second place in League 1 and should make the play...

I find it hard to keep track of the u16s , you see glimpses at the early season tournaments then they can disappear until around Christmas or New Year . You never know if it’s injury or just their natural development not to push them too early. Our policy has usually been to provide little or no...

Ah blue although I’m busy I’m sure you and everyone realise that it’s Mrs bl who does all the “ heavy lifting “ , metaphorically , at Christmas . I keep trying to rein her in a bit as she does so much for friends who need her help , but it has caught up on her physically and emotionally at...

Morning all. A busy morn for me , off to see the Chiropractor soon as he continues to sort my back/ neck/ sciatica issues with a hope of getting me back running again in 2026 🤞. Then meeting a friend from my running club so I can pick up direction signs/ Caution runners signs for the Sair...

It’s great to see his stats are up there , they show what we saw with our naked eyes - that he gets about the pitch and made 6 decent tackles. I’m not a huge fan of lots of stats though , doesn’t his tackles won also constitute a “ duel” he’s won on the ground? and one man’s interception is...

I think you’re re-writing history a bit there, Dowell had a very good period of about 3 months at Forest, when the team struggled he faded too , continued to glide around midfield looking classy but not willing to apply himself to the fight going on. Dowell had more natural talent than Gordon ...

Another very young u18 team that beat United 3-1 away, 2 u16s starting, 4 more coming off the bench. It’s nice to see Nsangou back again, and it looks like Akarakiri was starting as a CB? Hopefully the injury situation is reduced in time for the West Ham Youth Cup tie, but Southern has got them...

    Players out on loan 2025/26

It’s all proportional to their skill level, potential and who will risk playing them regularly Joey. Goalkeepers will usually go lower down the leagues so they’ll get game time , Ex keeper Joao Virginia made a couple of mistakes at Championship level and they wouldn’t play him again. Armstrong...

It’s great to hear so many had a fine time yesterday despite the result. We were on the Christmas presents delivery run all over NEast Scotland, finally got home about 6:30pm. There was never any danger of me missing the match as Mrsbl needed to be home for Strictly!. We managed to catch 4...

Going back to Friday night , there were some very good performances as already mentioned. For the second match in a row though I thought Malik Olayiwola was the pick of the bunch. Playing from the start and in the 10 role really suits him and his high energy play, and taking corners too - a...

Haha yeah, not really depressed , I just find it bizarre that if someone scores a goal and we win 1-0 or someone makes some terrific , eye catching tackles then they’re going to be MoTM , and the other aspects of their game in that match don’t get considered.

After about the sixth very good slide tackle I got depressed , and thought yep “ He’s going to be voted MoTM on the back of it . “ He’s a solid player but his ability to influence a game going forward needs working on . Still a bargain as a @ swap “ for Dobbin
