ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Yeah but they’ll spin the line…but they didn’t get the player they really wanted which was Guehi. In truth that ship has probably sailed. With Real looking to sign him now, he’ll go there.

    January Transfer Window 2026

We were badly let down in the summer. Out of the summer signings only Grealish has been a success. Jury out on KDH and Rohl (only because we haven’t seen him) and Dibling, Azou and Barry are not deemed good enough by the manager otherwise they would get regular games.

That is my biggest concern. We’ve got no striker worthy of the name. It’s going to ba s struggle the rest of the season unless this is addressed in January.

    Today’s Football 25/26 Season

Donarumma must be up there with the signings of the season. The difference he has made to their defence since he’s come in has been unreal. Talking of defences…think Arsenal have only conceded two goals all season. That’s what wins you titles!!!

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Interesting that initial consultations he said that Everton fans expressed a wish for our capacity to be bigger than the RS. We’re some way off that, but have a far better stadium. I’m still convinced that we have sold ourselves short with the capacity still though. But as a football stadium...

Mbueno was lying on the floor got up and still sprinted past a jogging VVD who was the closest defender to him, but someone it was Konate’s fault. He doesn’t want to tarnish the reputation of the ‘best centre back ever’. Carragher is deluded if he thinks Konate was at fault.

    2025/26 Jarrad Branthwaite

JOB has done more than a commendable job at RB. But against West Ham and city his flaws were exposed. I’d play him alongside Keane at present. Tarks hadn’t been at the races this season.

We’re talking about centre back options relating to the news of Braithwaite aren’t we.

Keane should be starting over Tarks in any pairing judged on performances this season and I’m not Keane’s biggest fan by any means. But he hasn’t made as many mistakes as Tarks this season.

Garner offers more offensively than JOB and Rohl will learn his trade playing alongside Gana. I agree I think it would improve us as a side.

Mate said he was going to a ‘Liverpool pub’ to watch the game. I said aren’t all pubs Liverpool pubs on match days. He just said you’re jealous because of the number of fans we’ve got. I said I’m jealous of your success but not of your plastic fans who’ve never been a game. Haven’t heard from...

Said in another thread. The wait goes on. We’ve never replaced him and it has really shown this season in the opportunities we’ve missed.

And therein lies our problem. Maybe a little more unfair of me to compare any striker to Haaland (no one in would football does) but our forwards offer no goal threat at all. It reminds of watching United last season watching us, they had no goal threat from their strikers but have talented...

    England Games/Fans

To think talent like Bellingham, Grealish, Foden and Wharton aren’t even in the squad. Still think some of these will be in the WC squad. Retention of the ball in that heat will be paramount next year. It’s all well having a high press in the cool conditions of Northern Europe in October, but...
