I think they have far more about them then the US. They have greater technical players than the US, but not their athleticism. In this heat fitness and energy around the park is reaping dividends!

The Dutch strength is built on their defence, but attacking wise they lack creativity. They’ll however always be in games due to their defence, but lack firepower to be considered one of the favourites.

Great point allied to the heat. It was like playing with 9 men. One look at the American team, what they lacked in football ability, they made up for it with energy and athleticism around the park. Sadly that is the way of the modern game now. Whereby athleticism takes precedence over talent!

    The Pundits

Wish he’d showed the same composure in front of goal in the derbies

    World Cup Commentators

Oh for the days of Gerald Sinstadt, Hugh Jones Barry Davies and David Coleman. Not one decent commentator on the box nowadays.

I think you’re bang on the money with regards to Bale, said the same thing to a Welsh mate after the first game. Bale offered nothing. Brennan would have been a better bet not just in this tournament, but also looking ahead to the future. But harsh on Page, he took over the job in unfortunate...

I think it was a case of a tournament too far for Wales. The likes of Bale, Ramsay and Allen are finished at international level. I think you’d have seen a different Wales if they’d qualified for the 2018 tournament. As for England, bigger tests await, starting with Senegal next Sunday!

    2022/23 Amadou Onana

I see a player in Onana. He’s raw but has talent. I honestly don’t see what Maupay or McNeill had to offer us, prior to us buying them.

I’ve more issue with spending 20m on McNeill when his stats for Burnley were so bad.

    2022/2023 Kit Release

I’d like Adidas as we’ve had all the other major kit manufacturers, I’d just be interested what they’d offer compared to le Coq, Umbro, Puma, Nike and Hummel.

Another wake up call for England, but is that any surprise with Southgate at the helm. When you leave arguably England’s best talent (Foden) on the bench, I think it says more about the ability of the manager than the players selected ahead of him. England were fortunate to get a draw tonight...

How can EFC shake off fan short-termism?

Lampard couldn’t get a tune out of an expensive talented group of chelsea players, who Tuchel turned into Champions league winners. Lampard didn’t select their best defender Rudiger who Tuchel immediately reinstated to the team. He failed to get Derby up, struggled at Chelsea and now struggling...

    2022/23 Frank Lampard

I agree wholeheartedly that the team needs better players but is Lampard the best man to get the best out of them. I have my doubts after what I’ve witnessed recently. Really gutted as I want every Everton manager to be successful and I genuinely thinks Lampard ‘gets us’ but what has been served...

    2022/23 Neal Maupay

He couldn’t score goals in a Brighton team that is offensively minded and creates far more chances than we do. Doesn’t need to be a scientist to work that he wouldn’t score goals for us.

    Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Potch for me. Experience in the league and Spurs’ players seemed to like and respect him.
